Contract Manager

SUMMARY:
A Vacancy exists for a Contract Manager in the Mining Division at Richards Bay Minerals, Zulti South CHEC Project

The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

POSITION INFO:

• Ensure compliance to the Company’s disciplinary code
• To ensure that daily shift management is done according to the required standard.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety management
• Threat and Risk assessment
• Ensuring Security Officers problems that are reported are solved
• Ensure that all company / client SOP’s are adhered to.
• Ensure BPC policies and procedures are always followed
• Client liaison and professional client relationship
• Manpower Management
• Equipment Management
• Effectively dealing with and managing client complaints
• Ensure that contractual requirements are always met
• After hour visits and standby duties
• Completion of daily, weekly and monthly reports
• Handling of Informers and Intelligence
• Must be able to attend meetings and take calls to assist with matters of urgency even on rest days
• Initiate Disciplinary Enquiries
• Handling Disputes at the CCMA
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of good security practice covering the physical and logical aspects of information products, systems, integrity, and confidentiality

• PSIRA certification – Grade A.
• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
• 5 Years working experience in the Mining environment.
• Firearm competency and a valid regulation 21 certificate is an advantage (9mm, Shotgun, Self-Loading Rifle, Carbine)
• Wages control
• Must have confidence in dealing with the Public and community unrest.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.

• Training and legal interpretation skills.
• Must be driven, have energy and attention to detail.
• Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record.
• Driver’s License & Own transport.
