Contract Specialist - Vaal

POSITION INFO:

Purpose of the Role:

To enable contract benefits and value release through the delivery of a watertight, compliant, and cost-effective contracting capability. The role ensures contractual integrity, mitigates risks, and optimizes contract performance in alignment with organizational policies and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, negotiate, and administer all contracts within the assigned portfolio.
Ensure 100% compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
Monitor contract performance, track on-contract spend, and ensure timely availability.
Address supplier performance issues and maintain an accurate contracts database.
Establish robust contract management and risk mitigation processes.
Engage with stakeholders and suppliers to foster strong relationships and ensure contract deliverables.

Minimum Requirements:

Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Law, Business Administration, or related field.
3-5 years' experience in contract management or procurement in a large organization.
Strong understanding of contract law, procurement policies, and compliance frameworks.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficiency in contract management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Reduction in contractual breaches and financial liabilities.
Increased on-contract spend percentage.
Reduction in contract management costs.
100% compliance with internal policies and legal standards.
No material internal audit findings.
Timely submission of accurate contract reports.
