SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Coordinator / Account Manager to join a dynamic and vibey clothing company based in Mount Edgecombe, Durban.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for driving and managing the coordination of all approvals and processes - during development and order confirmation, leading up to and during production, and through to delivery.
  • Working closely with design and QA team on new enquiries and development.
  • Obtaining and negotiating pricing for costings.
  • Arranging and chasing all approvals - lab dyes, strike offs, trims, labels, etc.
  • Arranging and chasing all samples - fits, pp, advertising, and bulk samples, etc.
  • Attend fit sessions (with QA team) to assess Fit and PP samples.
  • Ensure timeous communication to suppliers of all fit/pp comments.
  • Assisting suppliers with all queries during the development, sampling, production, and shipping stages.
  • Acting as the liaison between suppliers and in-house team, to ensure smooth workflow for all orders.
  • Liaising constantly with suppliers to ensure accurate communication and milestone tracking.
  • Liaising constantly with designers, QA, and Management to provide feedback and status updates.
  • Problem solving and advising Management of any issues that may impact delivery etc.
  • Working closely with design and QA team to ensure smooth workflow for all orders.
  • Building strong working relationships with suppliers and customers.

Requirements and Competencies

  • Relevant diploma/degree in fashion/clothing would be advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position.
  • Relevant knowledge and experience in clothing, dealing with overseas suppliers (imports) and SA retailers.
  • Experience dealing with brands would be advantageous.
  • Must have excellent coordinating experience.
  • Must be organised, structured, and pro-active.
  • Ability to implement and follow effective milestone tracking procedures.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem solving and out the box thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • A team player and collaborative leader.
