POSITION INFO:
Select Africa is looking for a commercially minded Corporate Finance & Treasury Associate to join its growing Corporate Finance & Treasury team. This opportunity is ideal for a young finance professional with exposure to or a keen interest in corporate finance, structured finance, property finance, treasury management, debt capital raising and transaction advisory. The successful candidate will support strategic transactions, funding initiatives, financial modelling, treasury management, and stakeholder reporting across the business. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain complex financial models to support investment and funding decisions. Assist with the structuring and execution of property, debt, and corporate finance transactions. Conduct financial analysis, valuations, and feasibility assessments. Prepare investment memoranda, board papers, investor presentations, and funding proposals. Support treasury activities, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and funding requirements. Prepare and maintain investment memorandums and supporting investor documentation to facilitate capital raising and support investment and funding decisions. Liaise with banks, lenders, investors, and internal stakeholders. Assist with due diligence processes and transaction execution. Monitor market trends and identify opportunities to optimize capital allocation and funding structures. Minimum Qualifications CFA, CAIA or FRM designation (completed or actively working towards); or BCom Honours (Finance), Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Minimum Experience Relevant experience in three (3) or more of the following areas (experience across all is not required): - Corporate Finance; - Structured Finance; - Property Finance; - Treasury \/ Asset Liability Management; - Hedging Strategies; - Investment Banking; - Leveraged Finance; - Transaction Advisory; and - M&A. Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Advantageous Experience Property deal structuring. Debt and leveraged finance transactions. Funding and treasury management. Investment and credit analysis. Preparation of investor and board materials. Exposure to banking, real estate, or financial services environments.
