POSITION INFO:

A company based in the Investment Banking space is look for a Corporate Finance Associate to join their team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Finance or Business Sciences and/or Bachelor of Accounting Science (BCompt) degree
• Bachelor of Economic Science (Bec/BEconSc)
• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and/or Bachelors of Commerce in Law (BCom Law)
• Minimum 3 years’ working experience in a Corporate Finance position
• Strong and detailed knowledge of IFRS, Companies Act, Competition Act, B-BBEE Act, and JSE Listings
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Work, and Outlook skills are highly advantageous

Job description & Skills:

• Compiling and managing pitch books
• Liaising with various company boards and major shareholders
• Facilitating and assisting with analyses to meet company objectives
• Providing the Principal with drafts of complex outputs
• Ensure the implementation and completion of project according to the projected timetable
• Assisting with the successful completion of ad hoc activities and projects identified and/or initiated by management
• Providing business advice, recommending strategic interventions, and facilitating decision making that continuously improves company performance
• Assisting with sourcing revenue opportunities and assisting with business development
• Assisting with the management of clients by maintaining contact with task-related matters and general output
• Facilitating staff training and development while maintaining an environment that promotes improved efficiencies, best practices, innovation, and employee excellence within the company
