SUMMARY:
Our client is a listed, state of the art manufacturing company, which has been in existence for over 100 years. They are growing and expanding into the continent.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Job Requirements:

B.Com or CIMA or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Cost or Management Accountant.
Strong costing experience essential.
Syspro experience strong pref.
Proficient in MS Office.
Must have a valid un-endorsed driver''s licence.

Responsibilities:

Costing:

Management of costing system to ensure accuracy at all times;
Prepare costings;
Monthly comparison of standard cost changes;
Verify accuracy of costings versus process documents;
Cost differential exercises;
Play an integral part in cost analyses for customer increase negotiations;
BOM Management.

Management Accounts:

Margin analysis;
Material usage and scrap analysis;
Manufacturing reporting and analysis;
Adhoc work as required from time to time.

Financial Reporting:

Analysis of GL accounts;
Compile, track, analyse and report on budgets;
Month end journals;
Prepare, collocate, interpret reports, budgets, accounts and financial statements;
Design, implement and provide reports to Senior Managers and Executive Committee.

Job Competencies:

A thorough understanding of cost management accounting.
In-depth understanding of the finance & financial control systems; creditors, debtors financial accounts and bookkeeping to trial balances.
In-depth understanding of populating, maintaining and reporting from financial management systems.
Some understanding of administrative requirements and systems relating to the successful management of a financial system.
Understanding of the supply and demand chain and quality principles.
