Cost Accountant

POSITION INFO:
Our client is seeking a meticulous, analytical Cost Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. As a key member of the finance team, you’ll ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of product costing, budgeting, and inventory valuation processes. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making and drive profitability — all while maintaining a sharp focus on the numbers.

Duties:

• Analyse production costs and prepare comprehensive internal reports
• Maintain and update standard cost models, bills of materials (BOMs), and overhead rates
• Monitor cost variances and investigate discrepancies against standard costs
• Assist in the preparation of cost forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term strategic plans
• Align pricing structures with cost inputs and margin objectives, supporting the commercial team with precise pricing data

• BCom Accounting
• Completed CIMA is required
• Minimum 3 years cost accounting experience is required
• Manufacturing experience would be preferred

• Experience using SAP is highly desirable
