A Cost Accountant is wanted within the Manufacturing industry!

POSITION INFO:

Our client, a leading name in the manufacturing industry, is looking for a sharp and driven Cost Accountant to join their finance team in Johannesburg Central. If you’ve got a solid foundation in costing within manufacturing or steel, then this is your chance to make your mark in a high-impact position.

Duties:

Tracking and analysing production costs and variances
Preparing detailed cost reports, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending improvements
Maintaining accurate inventory valuations and BOM (Bill of Materials) integrity
Performing monthly cost roll-ups and reconciliations
Assisting with budgeting and forecasting for production and inventory

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:
- BCom Accounting Degree
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a cost accounting role, specifically within the manufacturing or steel industry
- Strong understanding of costing principles, production workflows, and factory accounting
