POSITION INFO:
🔥 Cost Accountant – Steel Manufacturing Powerhouse
📍 Johannesburg, Gauteng
💰 R 480 000 – R 500 000 CTC per annum (negotiable, based on experience)

🔍 Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of costing, pricing, and margin analysis within a dynamic production environment
• Lead deep-dive investigations into manufacturing and operational costs to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets for the factory
• Produce monthly management accounts and financial performance reports
• Conduct daily sales and margin analysis to drive business strategy
• Keep BOMs, routings, and WIP accurate and up to date
• Handle new product costing and internal pricing strategies
• Analyse cost variances and implement corrective actions
• Support investment proposals and strategic financial forecasting

• A BCom in Management Accounting or equivalent qualification
• CIMA (Management Level) highly advantageous
• Minimum 3+ years cost accounting experience in a steel or heavy manufacturing environment (non-negotiable)
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, cost control, and financial governance
• High-level Excel skills and experience with Sage X3, CaseWare, or similar systems
• Analytical mindset with sharp attention to detail
• Ability to interpret technical data and translate it into financial insights
• Resilience and focus in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
