Cost Accountant

SUMMARY:
Opportunity Available!! Our leading client in the FMCG Sector is looking to employ a Cost Accountant to join their dynamic team in Kariega/Uitenhage.

POSITION INFO:
Job Responsibilities:

• Consolidate monthly cost and production reports from divisional financial managers.
• Monitor expenses against budget and highlight over expenditure.
• Prepare consolidated monthly forecasts and rolling estimates.
• Manage the finance and sales of the company’s GP operations.
• Produce weekly production KPI reports internally and for contract growers.
• Daily water/electricity usage and analysis report. Compare to other readings/accounts and limit wastage.
• Report on all energy saving initiatives with third parties and confirm results.
• Volume/Price/Mix type comparisons for feed to be prepared monthly, comparing to both historical and budgeted information.
• Prepare detailed costings for all CAPEX projects in conjunction with project & procurement

• The ideal candidate must be in possession of a BCom Accounting degree
• 5 years senior level accounting or financial management experience in a large-scale agriculture and/or manufacturing environment. A CA(SA) will be advantageous
• Computer literacy at an advanced level in all MS Office applications.
• Excellent data structuring and analysing skills.
• Good knowledge and experience of the financial environment.
