We are currently recruiting for a hands-on Management Accountant / Cost Accountant to join a well-established, medium-sized business. This role is ideal for a commercially minded accountant who enjoys working closely with operations and management to deliver meaningful financial insight, support cost control, and drive informed decision-making.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Management & Cost Accounting:
- Prepare and maintain detailed cost models and cost analyses
- Monitor, analyse, and report on production and operational costs
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
- Perform variance analysis and provide clear explanations to management
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
- Track actual performance against budget and highlight key variances
- Support financial planning and business decision-making processes
Reporting:
- Prepare accurate monthly management reports
- Deliver meaningful financial insights to management
- Support ad-hoc financial and operational analysis
General Finance Support:
- Assist with month-end processes
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information
- Collaborate closely with the finance team and operational stakeholders

Qualifications and Skills Required

Qualifications:
- BCom Accounting or similar accounting degree
- Strong management accounting background preferred
- 3–5 years’ experience in a management accounting or cost accounting role
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis
