POSITION INFO:

The Ideal Candidate

• Must have 5 - 7 Years’ experience as a Cost Accountant.
• Medical / Pharmaceutical experience will be an advantage.
• Must have experience in working with Accounting Software.

Duties include:

• Keep the financial records up to date by entering all financial transactions and reconciling accounts monthly.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information.
• Substantiate all financial transactions relating to inventory and componentry by internal auditing processes and analysis.
• Capture, verify and reconcile all credit card transactions.
• Capture and verify cashbook transactions weekly.
• Ensures correct allocation of transactions within the group of companies to ensure accurate reporting.
• Liaise with various departments to ensure cost allocation is continuously monitored and correctly accounted for on inventory and componentry.
• Prepare the monthly manufacturing reporting and analysis for distribution to the budget holders.
• Stock control management through stock taking procedures and reconciliation thereof.
• Analysis and reporting on stock take.
• Costing of imported goods/raw materials, as well as manufactured items.
• Provide cost analysis as required to help facilitate business decisions on all stock and componentry expenditure.
• Maintain standard assumptions to be used in cost analysis calculations to ensure information within the company is standardized across all financial models.
• Develop additional reporting to streamline the manufacturing process feedback to the stakeholders.
• Provide support to the accountant as required.
• Maintain standard costing and standard cost variance reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification – Degree in Accounting.
