SUMMARY:

Our client based in Paarl is a leading exporter of fruits and vegetables. They currently have a vacancy for an experienced Management/ Cost Accountant at its head office. The incumbent will report to the Head of the Apple and Pear Business Unit.

POSITION INFO:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Compilation and Communication of reports which could include:

o Net proceeds per hectare

o Cash flow projections

o Cost and profits per producer

o Profitability calculations

· settlement, disbursements and reporting in relation to external manufacturers

· maintenance of standard costing models

· assistance with cost calculation

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· B.Comm Cost / Management Accounting or Hons. degree

· 2 Years fruit exporting experience would be highly advantageous

COMPETENCIES:

strong analytical, administrative and excel skills
good interpersonal skills, honesty, drive, strict discipline and the ability to function on your own initiative

The remuneration package will commensurate with experience and qualification. Experience in the agricultural industry will be advantageous.
