SUMMARY:
Reporting to the CFO our client requires a qualified Cost Accountant to build cost models as well as provide support in respect of end-to-end billing processes.

POSITION INFO:

You will be responsible for ensuring accurate billing based on costing models signed off by clients.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
CIMA/CA qualification advantageous
A minimum of 5 years’ experience post-degree
Costing experience essential
Supply Chain/Logistics sector experiences highly advantageous
Sound understanding of accounting principles.
Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to service excellence

Key Role Responsibilities

Build costing models for new clients.
Ensure the signed off costing models translate into billing for all clients
Understand the divisional costs,
Collecting, analyzing and monitoring data around operational costs
Analyzing cost variances and recommending changes and savings
Ensure costing models reflect the requested requirements
Assist with preparing monthly schedules for provision accounts
Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization.
Prepare and complete internal cost audits.
Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
Analyze any changes in goods or services provided to determine what effect it has on the cost.
Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability
Assist in audits and general ledger preparation.
