JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the Manufacturing industry is currently looking for a suitable Junior Cost Accountant to be based in Phoenix Industrial Park.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position: Junior Cost Accountant

Location: Phoenix Industrial Park

Minimum Education Qualification:

BTech in Cost and Management Accounting/ Bachelor in Accounting Science

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 3 years in a similar position
Or has Completed SAICA training contract

Responsibilities and Duties:

Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
Monitor and supervise daily material usage variance process.
Monitor and supervise month end and year end stock take and report to management.
Monitor cost change on a weekly basis and ensure that the ERP system is updated on time.
Update the costing model and provide pricing to sales reps on a regular basis.
Assist Quality Assurance to maintain BOMs in the system.
Review and supervise the BOM review process.
Review and monitor daily material usages variance and suggest effective costing processes.
Assist in month and year end closing.
Analyse and report profit margins (monthly)
Identify and recommend cost effective solutions.
Perform monthly inventory reconciliation and report discrepancies on time.
Prepare (monthly, quarterly, annual) cost forecast.
Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by line manager
