COST ACCOUNTANT
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and analysing production costs, preparing cost reports,
maintaining inventory controls, and providing financial insights to support business decision-making.
This role requires a strong understanding of cost accounting principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the
ability to work closely with operational teams to improve efficiency and profitability.

POSITION INFO:
Qualification & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Cost & Management Accounting, or a related field. - 3-5 years' experience in cost accounting, management accounting, or financial analysis. - Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, engineering, or industrial environments preferred. - Experience with Syspro systems is an advantage. Professional Competencies: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Attention to detail and accuracy. - Effective communication and presentation skills. - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Commercial and business acumen Job Description: - Maintain and update standard costing systems. - Maintain and update cost centre and work centre rates. - Monitor cost variances and investigate significant deviations. - Monitor BOM implosions. - Analyse manufacturing, operational, and capital expenditure costs against budget or project approvals. - Prepare departmental cost analyses. - Monitor and track Work in Progress, including long outstanding jobs and jobs not timeously closed. - Monitor cost card variances on closed jobs. Prepare weekly report for management. - Monitor inventory movements and stock valuations. - Conduct Inventory valuation assessments in accordance with financial policy - Review and audit Inventory counts performed by the warehouse for accuracy and compliance with financial policy. - Assist with ERP and financial system improvements
