JOB DESCRIPTION:

Designer of modular and custom structures of lightweight building systems seeks to appoint a Cost Estimator at their premises in Cape Town.

For the position you would be required to have:

Degree in COST ACCOUNTING, CONSTRUCTION OR QUANTITY SURVEYING
Around 4 years' experience working in MANUFACTURING as a Cost Estimator
Proficient in Data Analysis, Advanced Excel and Costing Methodologies
Understanding of INCO terms, freight costs and ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
Knowledge of construction technologies and raw materials

Responsibilities would include you to:

Cost products from concept to handover including raw materials, design, manufacture, project management, freight and site services
Formulate and maintain product costing databases
Collaborate and coordinate with product design and supply chain and define BOQ's, product specs, supply and manufacture pricing to populate costing databases
Prepare cost estimates for products through design phase, delivering updated costs at design milestones to assess value engineering
Provide recommendations and improve cost-price models
Prepare quotations on products using approved pricing framework
