JOB SUMMARY:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client is currently seeking for a fresh and dynamic Credit Analyst.

The main function of this role is to assist with the credit vetting of applications for business finance.

The following duties are but not limited to:

Obtaining the correct application documents and information used in the credit scoring process
Financial analysis of businesses

Identify potential risks

Evaluate capital structure

Evaluate financial performance

Relevant financial ratio analysis such as liquidity, solvency and coverage

Credit vetting applicants through credit bureau and recording of info
Contacting parties involved in the applicant’s business operations and acquiring relevant info
Data input into scoring models
Compiling of credit reports to be sent to credit committee and external credit committee

Summary of the business

Identify potential risks and red flags

Overview of operations

Comment on financial performance

Feedback on credit reports

Reference feedback

Other relevant info relating to the applicant

Communication with internal and external committee and acquisition of requested information
Communicating final decisions on applications to sales staff
Recording of information on internal systems

Approval amounts and terms

Decline reasons

Pending documentation

Other relevant lead data

Minimum requirements

BCom degree with a financial focus or similar
1 – 5 years experience
Studies towards CFA will be advantageous
Past work experience in a financial setting will be advantageous
