JOB SUMMARY:
Vacancy for a Credit Controller currently exist within the timber industry, based in Langlaagte, Johannesburg South.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Accountabilities

Evaluate and approve new credit applications on receipt & submit to Group Credit Manager
Review Experian reports on new account application and inform customers of approved credit applications
Ensure opening of new customer files
Check daily payments received from customers
Process the daily payments to the cashbook
Track and follow-up on payments from customers with special arrangements
Compile documentation for customers to be handed over for legal action due to non-payment, via Group Credit Manager
Prepare all customer letters from Debtor's Department (final demand letters, increase credit limits)
Reconciliation of problem accounts
Collect and reconcile credit notes and invoices to customer payments (collecting outstanding money due)
Strategic risk management
Release and approve orders captured by Sales Department
Continued analysis of age analysis for your debtor’s section
Maintain group credit policy
Calculating of discounts allowed on accounts
Reporting and Internal communication
Communicate approval of credit applications to sales staff
Regular meetings with Sales Representatives regarding outstanding payments and queries as well as Group Credit Manager
Prepare for and attend weekly/monthly debtors’ meetings

Minimum Requirements

Credit Management accreditation will be an advantage
Minimum of 3 -5 years previous experience in credit control
Strong account management and relationship building skills.
Knowledge of MS Office products
Knowledge of Pastel Evolution will be an added advantage
