JOB SUMMARY:
A reputable Manufacturing concern needs an experienced Credit Controller to manage and reconcile account receivables, maximise cash collections and minimise customer bad debts. Assisting with overdue customers, payments, reporting is relevant in this role and having the ability to maintain relationships with customers is key.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements:
National Senior Certificate is an essential NQF Level 6 Diploma / Advanced Certificate in Credit. Management would be advantageous.
Minimum 5 years (s) experience in Credit control and/or management is essential.
Minimum 5-year (s) strong collections reconciliations are essential.
Competencies (Microsoft Packages, SAP).

Duties and responsibilities:
Reporting
Assure consistent outcomes through the adherence to and the use of established technical reports and programs (flowcentric, CADS, Sales reports, Delivery Diversion, Credit & Debit Notes, Pallet report).
Perform an age analysis on all debtors’ accounts on a continual basis throughout the month in order to establish outstanding funds which debtors have received.
Review the monthly debtors’ age analysis.

Overdue customer
Customer calls to collect overdue amounts.
Reconciliation of debtors’ accounts.
Assure accurate capturing of payments on SAP.
Achieve set DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and overdue target.
Payments
Assure remittance advises are received from customers with every payment made.
Allocate payments against invoices as per remittance advices.
Assure accurate and timeous delivery of customer invoices and statements .
Customer hand-over.
Drive customer payment behavior and identify habitual late payers.
Issuing of Final Demand Letters to overdue customers.
Prepare a customer file for legal handover.
Customer relations
Attend to customer queries and ensure every query resolution within the agreed SLAs.
Assure validity of credit note requests and customer claims.
Provide feedback to customers on claim requests and disputes logged.
Engage, develop and maintain customer relations both internally and externally.
Credit limits
Liaise with the Contact Centre and Sales departments regarding blocked orders due to credit limits and overdue.
Monitor orders to customers close to reaching their credit limits.
Monitor and control credit risk to the company.
