Are you immediately available and have creditors expertise doing local and foreign payments to take on a contract position with our International Client based in the CBD in Cape Town.

Excellent opportunity to grow your experience in this finance field managing this essential Creditors function.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

REQUIREMENTS

Proven working experience as Accounts Payable Clerk
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage the accounting figures and financial records
Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
Proficiency in English and in MS Office
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Qualification in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration

DUTIES

Managing payments - local and foreign
Managing the full creditors function
Managing internal invoice approvals
Tracking parallel products in the region
Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all invoices and payments are accounted for
Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
Generate reports detailing accounts payables status
Working with expense accounts and cost centers
Managing compliance issues around accounts payable processes

Salary: R30k dependent on experience
