POSITION INFO:

Receive the opportunity to become a costing analyst for a leading, locally founded company.

With over 20 years’ industry experience, 10 000 employees and more than 2 million clients nationwide, this company has set themselves apart from their competitors by providing customized services to their clients.

As costing analyst, you will prepare and track budgets, audit financial transactions and monitor actual costs against standard.

Duties will include:

• Prepare detailed reports, both periodically and ad-hoc
• Help management make important decisions based on costs and benefits (e.g. investments, market growth, pricing changes)
• Create and manage budgets and monitor spending.
• Conduct audits on financial processes and transactions
• Monitor changes in processes or methods to calculate effects on overall costs.
• Estimate product costs for existing and new products.
• Forecast and analyse costs of processes, labour, and inventory.
• Suggest cost-reducing or profitable solutions.
• Implementing an ABC costing system.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Skills

• Strong analytical skills
• A business acumen

Education

• B. Com qualification.
• SAIPA/SAICA articles completed.

Experience:

• 4-5 years post article experience.
