DC General Manager - Centurion 

POSITION LOCATION - Centurion 

The General Manager is responsible for the management and performance of the Warehouse Operations, Transport Operations and Customer Service in his region.

The Key Functional Responsibilities:

The Key Functional Responsibilities of the General Manager includes but is not limited to:

  • Warehouse & Transport Management:
  • Ensures all quality audits are passed.
  • Ensures all operations comply with Company policy and procedure.
  • Improves operational KPI’s year on year.
  • Ensures DC facilities and equipment are maintained and in good working order.
  • Customer Service:
  • Achieve customer contracted service levels.
  • No restaurant below the minimum service level over a 12 month period. Ensure that customer complaints are resolved quickly.
  • Build and maintain sound relationships with market.

Continuous Improvement:
Actively seeks improvement opportunities in process, quality, service levels and costs.

Presents and explains performance per DC.

Costs:Achieve budgeted cost per case per DC.

Budgeting: Delivers budgets per DC that meet specified mandate.

Master delivery schedule.Ensures DC master schedules are optimal, accommodate growth and meets the customerneeds. Risk:

DC contingency plans are always up-to-date.

People:DC Managers performance is reviewed at least 4 times a year.
Succession plan for DC managers are always up to date.
Continuous training and development according to training requirements are met and up to date.
Continuously coaches and mentors staff.
Ensures people survey scores improve year on year.

Operational risks are timeously addressed and mitigated.

    Minimum Requirements:

  • ï‚·  8-12 Years’ experience as a Senior Operational Manager in a Distribution Centre.

  • ï‚·  Must have solid Warehousing & Distribution, Transport, FMCG, QRS or Similar

  • ï‚·  Grade 12 is compulsory with Relevant Tertiary Degree, Honours Degree in Business / Supply Chain

    Management or similar.

  • ï‚·  Good Warehousing & Distribution, Transport, FMCG, QRS Management.

  • ï‚·  Intermediate MS Office ( PowerPoint, Projects, Word, Outlook)

  • ï‚·  Advanced MS Excel Skills

  • ï‚·  Advanced Warehouse Management System (WMS) Skills
