POSITION INFO:

Our Client a Global Tech firm is seeking 2 Data and Integration Specialist/Analyst to join their team in Cape town on a 12 month contract. They offer stability, competitive rates, growth and an excellent working environment.

As a Data and Integration Specialist, you''ll be responsible for providing support in data analysis, reporting systems, report development, data warehousing, and analysis. You will work with the company''s clients to understand their needs when designing reports or using tools such as SQL databases. You will then help our customers manage their data through efficient processes that are quick and easy to use.

Requirements

• Ensuring accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, coding, writing clear documentation, and problem resolution;
• Driving data quality assessments, and the institutionalizing thereof, linked to the various quality dimensions;
• Providing knowledge and experience with relevant frameworks, e.g. South African Statistical Quality Assessment Framework;
• Providing knowledge and experience relating to Master Data Management and Data Quality Management and their related technologies;
• Analyzing and translating functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications;
• Developing, testing, and implementing program logic; Translating business needs into end-user applications;
• Being responsible for ETL, data mapping, and data integration documentation, including documentation of business processes and how data is stored;
• Creating XML, XSD, XSLT, and XML Schema;
• Employing ETL tools to convert flat files to XML and improve efficiency, testing, and accuracy of data integration:
• Working with Development teams to articulate enhancement requests;
• Maintaining a strong working knowledge of released products and taking responsibility for identifying product improvements:
• Sharing knowledge with team members and developing client solutions efficiently;
• Attending to technical troubleshooting and data analysis;
• Supporting all data feed management and quality control processes;
• Organising user testing, collecting feedback, and organising into actionable development priorities;
• Planning and executing data feed/feature deployments; and
• Ensuring data quality and data integrity is maintained.

Qualifications

• One or more tertiary qualification(s) issued by a registered tertiary institution that is/are relevant to the role of the Data & Integration Specialist / Analyst (as defined in section 3.2 above); OR
• One or more industry accredited course credential(s) that is/are relevant to the role of the Data & Integration Specialist / Analyst (as defined in section 3.2 above); AND
• A minimum of 5 (five) years experience at a senior level in a Data & Integration Specialist / Analyst (as defined in section 3.2 above) or equivalent role working or consulting on tasks or projects involving the following:
• Databases (Oracle/ SQL), ETL and APIs;
• Data analysis and integration of data;
• Defining       and        detailing product requirements and launching products/functionality enhancements to meet customer needs; and
• Managing sprint schedules and resources in an agile-scrum development environment
