Key Responsibilities: Design the city's blueprint by defining scalable data architecture frameworks, standards, and long-term data strategies. Build the roads and infrastructure that connect data across platforms, applications, and business units. Establish the zoning laws through data governance, security, quality, and compliance best practices. Future-proof the city by designing modern cloud-based data ecosystems that support growth, analytics, and AI initiatives. Reduce traffic congestion by optimizing data flows, integrations, and platform performance across the organisation. Work with city stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into practical, scalable data solutions. Expand the city responsibly by ensuring architecture can accommodate new technologies, increased data volumes, and evolving business priorities. Create a thriving environment for innovation by enabling trusted, accessible data for reporting, analytics, and decision-making. Job Experience and Skills Required: Minimum 4+ years' of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related data discipline Experience designing and implementing scalable data warehouses, lakehouses, or modern data platforms Strong expertise across Azure, AWS, or GCP data ecosystems Proven experience with data modelling, governance, and enterprise data strategy Exposure to analytics, business intelligence, and AI-ready data environments A track record of connecting systems, solving complexity, and enabling data-driven decision-making This is an opportunity to join our talent pool and be considered for future opportunities with leading organisations across South Africa.
