A top performing financial commercial bank is seeking to hire a seasoned Data Manager

POSITION INFO:

Description:

Monitors performance of data governance processes, communication, training, awareness and change management. Monitor risk issues raised and facilitates resolution of issues and escalate data issues where required.

Education:

Diploma or Degree
Preference given to candidate with a CDMP

Experience:

Minimum 3 years relevant experience. (Data Governance, Data Quality Management, Metadata Management and Data Lineage)
Actively monitor the implementation and adherence of the data Governance /management policies, standards and processes.
Provide data governance advice and guidance to the business and stakeholders.
Provide guidance to support the implementation of the Data Management Policy within CVM.
Develop and maintain good relationships with data governance stakeholders (e.g. BU representatives, IT, data stewards, data owners, business key risk owners etc.) Through on-going interaction.
Define and receive reports from affected stakeholders and forums to enable the monitoring of data governance progress.
Escalate unresolved issues to the relevant stakeholders and governance committees
Manage and track the relevant stakeholders in the delivery of the agreed action plans and escalate non-performance and non-delivery to the appropriate forums/structures.
Identify risks associated with data and address and or report them to the appropriate risk committees or data governance forums.
Perform high level compliance testing of data management deliveries before business marks delivery as “effective”. (within CVM)
