JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in Telecoms requires a Data Migration Specialist on a 6-month contract who will work with technology associates to meet data migration needs for CVM 3.0 Programme, sustainment, and maintenance activities.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibilities:

Profile Data using standard and complex rules to identify potential data issues and the need for data standards.
Ensure the quality, completeness, and accuracy of data definitions.
Use data quality software where available to interrogate data sets.
Design data quality monitors to meet project data migration needs.
Perform detailed analysis in order to identify trends and patterns in data.
Analyse findings and present summarized results to project teams.
Document business rules for data migration.
Design and develop the data migration strategy for Oracle CMS.
Lead team to plan and execute data migration requirements.
Where applicable, investigate and qualify potential areas in which to retain, introduce or replace existing artifacts.
Support and promote data principles, policies, and standards.
Perform root cause analysis on data anomalies and work with data stewards to resolve issues.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Data Management, Data Migration and
ETL Design principles, Patterns, and best practices.
Hands on experience with Oracle related technologies.
Working experience with SQL, Presto, Cloud ERA and Hadoop.
Demonstrate understanding of Data Models, Deployment Models, and challenges.
Collaborate with technology team members, end users, and other stakeholders in the rollout of the CMS Data programme.
Work diligently to enhance or improve business processes to improve the data load times and increase reliability of data.
Be the custodian of the data layer for SA and work closely with Data department.
Governance Team to form a design and deployment perspective.
Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement technical designs for improving or further leveraging of these systems.
Communicate data quality related problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, and end users

Education:

BSC or Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience is required.
Oracle certification - (Highly Advantageous)
Hadoop Certification - (Highly Advantageous)

Experience:

7+ years consistent work experience covering similar functions in multinational
telecommunication with global project rollout experience.
Have experience of leading large scale data migration projects.
Demonstrate the ability to effectively establish and maintain strategic working relationship with peers and constitutes at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrate analysis, technical and problem-solving skills using critical and innovate thinking.
Ability to work collaboratively with a Project team and relevant stakeholders.
Understanding of Data Integration methodologies.
Working technical experience with Oracle Products and direct hands-on experience with migration projects /programme related to Oracle Products
Exposure to and understanding of Oracle Cloud technology is a plus.
Advance and effective verbal, written and communication skills
