Data Security Consultant (InfoSec)

SUMMARY:
A leader in the Financial Service Space, Johannesburg seeks a Data Protection Consultant on a Contract basis. The specialist will develop and implement data protection products supporting multiple data protection legislation (GDPR, POPIA, CCPA etc).

POSITION INFO:

The Consultant will:

• Provide specialist advice on privacy laws and access to information laws/regulations best practices
• Promote the protection of personal information across the group
• Implement  the Data Privacy Framework
• Use software solutions for compliance gap assessments
• Use software solutions to conduct privacy impact assessments
• Data mapping and control selection to mitigate data privacy and information security risks
• Third-party data protection assessments and agreements (incl cross border transfer and personal information) - Review and mitigate gaps
• Develop and implement data privacy metrics
• Information security (Infosec) Risk Assessments
• Data subject access requests (DSARs)
• Implement  Privacy Enhancing Technology (PETs)
• Privacy Breach and Incident response
• Report writing

 Qualifications and Experience

• IAPP certification (CIPP/E, CIPT, CIPM)
• Information management e.g DAMA, CGEIT etc
• NIST Privacy Framework V1.0 or similar experience (GAPP / AICPA/CICA Privacy Maturity Model)
• ISO/IEC 27701 Privacy Information Management System (PIMS) experience
