JOB SUMMARY:
Database Administrator

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Focus Areas:

The Employee’s key focus areas will be inter alia as follows:

Support and Maintenance of SQL databases
Automation of maintenance procedures
Backup and Restoration of databases
Project related tasks, for example building queries and procedures to enable GL porting entries or the creation of CPS files
10-15 years experience

Key Responsibilities:

The Employee’s key responsibilities will be inter alia as follows:

Creating, maintaining database for Dashpay''s and African Resonance products as required
Creating and maintaining a Data warehouse for Reporting and Analytics
Creating and maintaining reports for merchants as well as internal
Optimisation of queries and performance
Replication of database to secondary sites
Consolidation of database locations and necessary associated tasks
Disaster Recovery including disaster management planning and implementation
Database security
Ensure PCI Rules and standards are applied correctly to relevant SQL Servers
Ensure SQL Environment is kept up to date with Service Packs or Cumulative Updates
Any project related tasks and development required
