We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Underground Diesel Mechanic to join our mining operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of LHD (Load Haul Dump) machines, drill rigs, and other earthmoving equipment in an underground environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance on underground diesel equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and report equipment performance issues.
- Work safely and comply with all mine health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Job Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile):
- Trade Test: Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Red Seal or equivalent).
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience with underground LHDs, drill rigs, and earthmoving machinery.
- Sound knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Previous mining experience essential (underground environment preferred).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts and in challenging underground conditions.
