Debtors / Creditors to Bookkeeping - JHB Southern Suburbs

Purpose Of The Job:
 
Our client a Commercial and Passenger Repair Centre requires an experienced Debtor / Creditors Clerk to join their Team!
They are looking for someone who knows how to work and the importance of being thorough when it comes to accounts and dealing with clients to collect payment.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:
Creditors

• Capture Supplier Invoices onto management system
• Balance Supplier accounts to GL

• Manage RFC’s and ensure refunds are received

• Ensure Supplier invoices are processed accurately in correct divisions
• Ensure Discounts and Terms are applied correctly
• Ensure deadlines are adhered to by managing internal processes
• Month End procedures
• Filing and record Keeping for audit purpose
• Resolve account queries

• Invoicing
• Submission of invoices on insurer platforms in line with requirements
• Closing of files on management system
• Ensure collection of payments is within SLA terms with insurers and discount terms adhered to
• Receipting -ensuring accurate allocation of all incoming entries
• Keep records of all debtors’ transactions for auditors as required
• Respond to queries and resolve to ensure payment
• Month end procedures
• Reconciliation of Debtor statements

• Petty Cash - Manage the float in accordance with company policy
• Prep files for OEM audits annually
• Assisting OHS Officer with filing and Adhoc functions

• Excellent communication skills -tact and diplomacy in debtors

• Strong personality but able to work within a team
• Neatness in working method

• 3 - 5 years’ related Debtor / Creditor / Bookkeeping experience in same or similar role in the motor industry
• Grade 12 / Matric
• English – excellent writing and speaking
• Proficient in TMS Teamwork (advantageous)
• SAGE Accounting or Pastel Accounting
• Know how to balance accounts correctly and not force balance (Imperative)
• Proven track record in creditor reconciliations
• Strong Administration
• Thorough knowledge of handling Accounts and Payment Collections
• Excellent Customer Relations
• Motor Industry Experience Essential!!!
