JOB DESCRIPTION:

An exciting opportunity has opened for a vibrant, energetic, and experienced Demi chef who will be mainly support a chef de partie in the kitchen. Perform cooking, cleaning, delivery, and other support duties as instructed by the chef de partie. Demi chefs help ensure that a kitchen's operations run smoothly.

Requirements:

- Two years’ experience in similar position in a hospitality background

- At least NQF4 level cookery qualification

- Able to lead Commis chefs

- Work cohesively in a team

- Basic food and kitchen operations

- Must be able to work in all sections of the kitchen

- Must be available to work on weekends

- Embraces challenge and demonstrates self-discipline and a willingness to learn

- Driver’s license an advantage

- Subscribes to Oudewerf Hotel’s values, service & leadership ethic
