SUMMARY:
A well-established engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking a Transformer Design Engineer to join its technical team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled electrical engineer with proven experience in transformer design, looking to contribute to innovative power and energy solutions.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop power and distribution transformers in accordance with international standards
Perform electrical, thermal, and mechanical design calculations
Prepare detailed design documentation, drawings, and technical specifications
Support manufacturing, testing, and commissioning processes
Liaise with project teams, suppliers, and clients on technical matters
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and performance requirements

Minimum Requirements:

BEng / BSc Electrical Engineering
Proven experience in transformer design (power and/or distribution transformers)
Strong knowledge of relevant IEC, IEEE, and SANS standards
Proficiency in transformer design software and engineering tools
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
