POSITION INFO:
Role Overview:
They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solar Electrical Engineer to lead the design, optimisation, and delivery of their solar PV and hybrid power projects. You will be responsible for ensuring technical excellence from concept to commissioning, mentoring Junior Engineers, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead electrical design and engineering for utility-scale and C&I solar PV projects.
Prepare and review single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, and system specifications.
Conduct detailed yield assessments and system performance modelling.
Oversee compliance with national and international electrical standards.
Provide technical leadership during procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Mentor and guide Junior Engineers.
Collaborate with Project Managers, Civil Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated project delivery.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BEng/BSc) – Master’s Degree is an advantage.
Professional registration (Pr Eng / eligible) preferred.
7+ years’ experience in solar PV electrical design and engineering.
Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, transformers, grid connection, and SCADA systems.
Proficiency in design software such as PVSyst, AutoCAD, and ETAP.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
