SUMMARY:
Our client based in Cape Town city centre is seeking to emply a suitably qualified IT Desktop Support Engineer to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Are you:

Passionate about IT Technical support.
Able to work alone or within a team and must be able to interact with business users at all levels.
Technical minded with strong troubleshooting skills for computer desktops. T
Display good telephonic etiquette and be able to log service requests and incidents via the CA system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but not limited to)

Strong desktop hardware and software troubleshooting skills.

Log all calls that are reported via the Web, email or telephonically into the CA Logging System
Printer jams / toner replacement
Resolve Desktop Hardware and Software issues
Setup computer desktop equipment in meetings rooms daily
Imaging and setup of desktop computers for new users
Moving of desktop computers during the day and after hour

Qualifications

Tertiary education and relevant technology courses attended (MCSE and A+ will be an advantage)

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 3-5 Years IT End User Support experience
Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems experience – Windows 7 & Windows 10
MS-Office versions (Office 2010, 2016, Office 365)
Computer hardware and software troubleshooting skills
Computer Desktop Imaging
Effective Management of IT hardware and IT environment
