Desktop Support Engineer

SUMMARY:
Our client based in Cape Town city centre is seeking to emply a suitably qualified IT Desktop Support Engineer to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Are you: 

• Passionate about IT Technical support.
• Able to work alone or within a team and must be able to interact with business users at all levels.
• Technical minded with strong troubleshooting skills for computer desktops. T
• Display good telephonic etiquette and be able to log service requests and incidents via the CA system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but not limited to)

• Strong desktop hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
• Log all calls that are reported via the Web, email or telephonically into the CA  Logging System
• Printer jams / toner replacement
• Resolve Desktop Hardware and Software issues
• Setup computer desktop equipment in meetings rooms daily
• Imaging and setup of desktop computers for new users
• Moving of desktop computers during the day and after hour

Qualifications

• Tertiary education and relevant technology courses attended (MCSE and A+ will be an advantage)

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3-5 Years  IT End User Support experience
• Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems experience – Windows 7 & Windows 10
• MS-Office versions (Office 2010, 2016, Office 365)
• Computer hardware and software troubleshooting skills
• Computer Desktop Imaging
• Effective Management of IT hardware and IT environment
