DevOps Engineer

SUMMARY:
My clients have widespread experience in developing markets, they enable large, multifaceted businesses to engage with their employees, wherever they are. They drive digital innovation and transformation, by increasing operational efficiency and performance. They are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer, who does not mind getting involved in all aspects of their business, to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Although my client has offices in Cape Town, they are offering 100% remote work. They are looking for a DevOps Engineer that will assimilate development and operations teams to better the collaboration and deployment processes. You will work with developers to facilitate better coordination among operations, development, and testing functions by automating and streamlining the integration and deployment processes.

Skills & Experience:

Experience in Azure is nonnegotiable

Well versed in docker containers, deploying applications, scaling nodes and pods, and configuring of scaling policies

Strong security knowledge (SAAS, PAAS standards, GDPR, POPIA)

Routing, Nginx, Mongo Atlas configuration beneficial

Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience

Proven experience as a System Administrator, DevOps, Network Administrator, or similar role

Proven knowledge of various computer programming languages

Knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery

Qualification:

BSc in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; professional certifications
