DevOps Engineer

POSITION INFO:

Although my client has offices in Cape Town, they are offering 100% remote work.

They are looking for a DevOps Engineer that will assimilate development and operations teams to better the collaboration and deployment processes.

You will work with developers to facilitate better coordination among operations, development, and testing functions by automating and streamlining the integration and deployment processes.

Automation of deployments (cloud IAAS and PAAS).

Design CI/CD infrastructures (Jenkins)

Release Management

IT Operations Management ensuring the uptime and stability of all platforms across countries

Stakeholder Engagement and team management

Skills & Experience:

Experience in Azure is nonnegotiable

Well versed in docker containers, deploying applications, scaling nodes and pods, and configuring of scaling policies

Strong security knowledge (SAAS, PAAS standards, GDPR, POPIA)

Routing, Nginx, Mongo Atlas configuration beneficial

Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience

Qualification:

Matric

Complete tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or related (Highly advantageous)
