SUMMARY:
A well-established company in the mining and heavy equipment industry is seeking an experienced Underground Diesel Mechanic to join their team based in Boksburg.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements: Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Red Seal preferred) Minimum 4-5 years' experience working on underground mining equipment Strong knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems Experience diagnosing and repairing faults on underground machinery Valid driver's licence Own reliable transport Able to work independently and under pressure Good communication and problem-solving skills Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults on underground mining equipment Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance Carry out breakdown repairs to minimise equipment downtime Conduct inspections and identify potential mechanical issues Complete job cards and maintenance reports accurately Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety standards and company procedures Maintain a clean and safe work environment Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure maximum equipment availability
