SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to develop and implement the Content Hub strategy, and to plan and develop associated outputs that deliver engaging, compelling and accessible content for both traditional and digital platforms (including the website and social media) and publications

POSITION INFO:

Role Description

Develop and oversee the implementation of the Content Hub strategy.
Develop a content plan for the website and other digital channels by consolidating communication requirements that arise from company mandate, strategy and activities.
Create and develop an enabling content plan that supports the Communications Strategy.
Deliver and produce material for digital communications and traditional media channels to the quality standards agreed with the Divisional Head: Communications.
Ensure that content produced contributes to a seamless and consistent stakeholder experience across the communications channels (i.e. traditional media, the website, social media and other channels).
Define, plan and allocate work for the Content Hub team that aligns with the overall Communications Strategy.
Manage and coordinate the team that compiles content for traditional and digital platforms and publications.
Manage the day-to-day performance and outputs of the Content Hub team through nurturing ideas, insights and implementation to contribute to a culture of high performance.
Manage the collation and reporting of key research insights that will guide the Content Hub strategy.
Engage with other departments and communications sub-functions to determine their content requirements.
Gather insights that will contribute to the evaluation of the overall Communications Strategy.
Ensure the consistent application of Corporate Identity and that other defined standards, policies and guiding principles are adhered to.
Operationalise the relevant aspects of the communications framework to facilitate the Content Hub’s ability to monitor, evaluate and learn from activities that have been executed.
Remain current with emerging trends relating to content and digital channels, to recommend potential opportunities to be explored.
Track the media environment, including social media and digital channels, to escalate potential risks to the organisation
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, primarily the media, informed stakeholders and executive management, to enable the delivery of the content plan.
Utilise the Content Hub Section’s resources optimally in the delivery of the section-specific outputs.

Job requirements

Minimum of a Bachelors’ degree in Journalism, Communications, Advertising or Multimedia, with experience in website development, illustration and a deep knowledge of multimedia technology; and
Five to eight years’ experience in a multimedia production environment, of which at least two to three years must have been in a managerial capacity.
