JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the Media and Publishing space seeks to employ a Digital Projects Coordinator (6 months contract)

Working closely with the Digital Projects Lead to coordinate comprehensive project plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets for regional digital projects and regional programme initiatives. Ensure projects are completed on time and costs.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Performance Areas

Market research:

Gather market intelligence relating to the digital market requirements and technical aspects
Analyse digital publishing trends
Networking:
Identify competitor products

Projects proposal writing
Project management

Work along with the Digital Projects Leads and with digital operations, production, publishing and editorial departments and stakeholders to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives.
Compile comprehensive project schedules, coordinate resources and information for projects.
Oversee project progress

Projects financial management

Work along the Digital Projects Lead to compile budgets and effective budget models for managing digital projects.
Track and report on project spend

Quality assurance
Digital projects administration

Qualifying Requirements

BIS Multimedia, BSC Computer Science or Project Management Diploma or Degree
1-3 years of digital project management
Knowledge of project management tools
Proven ability to operate in a matrix management context.
Research and reporting on current digital trends and products
Ability to formulate a strategy and related development plan for the company
Creating and managing project teams
Creating and managing digital project budgets
Knowledge of current ebook formats and platforms in South Africa and internationally
Ability to check and edit PDF, epub and HTML content
Knowledge of image and video formats and resolutions
Evaluate new suppliers and negotiate viable pricing models
Create and maintain an up to date supplier database
