Director : Infrastructure Procurement (1 year contract)

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Director : Infrastructure Procurement for a 1 year contract post based in Bhisho, Eastern Cape.

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Matric with B.Degree (NQF 7) or B.Tech in Quantity Surveying / Project / Building / Construction Management / Civil / Structural Engineering
• 7+ years relevant experience in management of infrastructure delivery programmes
• Please note that in line with their equity plan, only female candidates can be considered

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

·         Institutionalize infrastructure procurement planning, policy, norms and standards

·         Develop infrastructure procurement strategies that address the socio-economic developmental targets

·         Manage monitoring and evaluation systems related to IDMS compliance

·         Review procurement strategies per programme / project with respect to delivery targets, project integration and efficiencies

·         Monitor, evaluate and report on infrastructure procurement and major capital projects

·         Maintain a database of contract awards and blacklisting’s and conduct continuous risk assessments

·         Support compliance with the CIDB standard for uniformity, LEDPF and SMME development

·         Manage relations with clients and provide project leadership

Salary: R-----.00 per annum for the 12 month contract duration
