Director of Studies

SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Director of Studies for an International School in Ethiopia.
 
This is a strategic leadership role that directly shapes the educational experience and achievement of the students by overseeing curriculum development, teaching methodology, staff development, and overall academic performance.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for the school’s academic programs and performance goals.
• Oversee curriculum alignment, standardisation, and innovation across all subjects.
• Lead benchmarking efforts and drive improvements through data-driven strategies.
• Champion modern teaching methodologies, digital learning, and blended education platforms.
• Collaborate with school leadership and departments to ensure effective resource allocation and academic excellence.

• Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of senior academic leadership experience (including Head of Academics).
• At least 5 years of teaching experience and 3 years in a managerial capacity.
• Demonstrated experience in driving academic improvement and leading academic teams.
• Must have solid experience of the Cambridge Curriculum
