Distributor Accountant

SUMMARY:
Balance the Books and Keep the Sales Flowing: Own the Numbers in a Fast-Moving Distribution Group.

POSITION INFO:
Ever thought of yourself as the behind-the-scenes deal closer? In this role, your spreadsheets, reconciliations, and compliance reports will keep the direct selling wheels turning just as smoothly as the Sales Reps on the ground. As the Distributor Accountant, you’ll work closely with finance and operational teams to keep financial records spotless, reporting sharp, and compliance watertight. With the business moving at the pace of direct sales, this role demands accuracy, speed, and the ability to keep calm when the numbers start racing. This 3-month contract has the potential of becoming a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Group Accounting: Manage bookkeeping and reporting across multiple entities within the group.
• Compliance & CIPC: Handle statutory submissions, including company registrations, updates, and financial compliance.
• Reporting & Reconciliations: Prepare monthly financial reports, perform reconciliations, and support audits.
• System Management: Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity.
• Operational Finance Support: Partner with sales teams to track margins, manage accounts, and improve financial processes.

• BCom Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Group accounting or distributor experience
• Experience in a sales-driven environment
• Exposure to Swordfish software advantageous
• Proven knowledge of CIPC compliance and financial regulatory reporting
