Our client has a big solar/substation project in Upington and is looking for a Document Controller, to start in June 2024.

Responsibilities:
- Document Management: Organize, file, and retrieve project documents adhering to established procedures.
- Document Control: Implement procedures to maintain document accuracy, integrity, and security.
- Version Control: Manage document distribution, track revisions, and ensure stakeholders have access to the latest versions.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with document control procedures and quality standards.
- Coordination: Liaise with project stakeholders to collect, review, and distribute project documents efficiently.
- Database Management: Utilize document management software to facilitate processes and maintain an organized document repository.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support on document control processes and systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with document control.
- Documentation Compliance: Ensure project documentation complies with relevant standards and regulatory guidelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or related field.
- 6 years' experience as a document controller, preferably in renewable energy or construction.
- Familiarity with document management systems and software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of quality management principles.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
