Document Specialist

SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Specialist to join their team in Tyger Valley, Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have excellent English communication skills, advanced MS Word and documentation expertise, strong computer literacy, and proven Dictaphone and audio/copy typing experience. A minimum typing speed of 65 words per minute is required. The successful candidate must be able to work accurately under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain a high standard of professionalism. A MOS Word Expert qualification will be advantageous, with additional MOS qualifications in PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook beneficial.

Excellent command of the English language. Excellent advanced MS Word and documentation skills. Computer literacy in Outlook, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and internet tools. MOS Word Expert qualification; additional MOS qualifications in PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook will be beneficial. Dictaphone typing experience. Typing speed of at least 65 words per minute (WPM), with proficiency in both audio and copy typing. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Established document production experience in a fast-paced professional services environment. Excellent accuracy and attention to detail. Proficient user of Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Experience working with and problem-solving corrupt documents. Experience using Kofax, Litera, Nitro, Visio, Adobe Writer and DocX Tools is beneficial. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and remain flexible when client requirements change. Proactive and positive, with the ability to build effective working relationships. Ability to use initiative and problem-solve document queries. Commitment to the team's goal of always providing excellent quality and efficient service. Effective communication and organisational skills. A good team player who is confident and professional, with the ability to exercise sound judgement. Flexible, with the ability to work outside of core hours from time to time, as required, to meet client deadlines. DUTIES: Produce and amend lengthy and complex business-critical documents with speed and accuracy. Proofread and check spelling, grammar, formatting, presentation and sense. Demonstrate proficiency in key software packages, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. Maintain and update statistics. Attend and contribute proactively to meetings. Proactively clarify instructions with the client, supervisor and\/or manager. Provide an effective and efficient handover of work between shifts. Handle sensitive and confidential information.
