JOB SUMMARY:
Do you have experience with Cad drawings and have worked as a Draughtsman preferably working in vector formats that is required for laser cutting and sheet metal bending?

Our client requires your expertise to join their manufacturing team where you can advance your skills gained to date.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12 plus Draughting diploma essential
Computer Literate
Experience with Cad Drawing (Preferably Solidworks and AutoCad)
Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
Active listener and excellent communication skills

DUTIES

Receiving of samples, sketches, drawings and part descriptions from customers, convert this into a technical drawing on the computer for the purpose of cutting and bending on the machines on the floor
Interpret customer drawings and samples, assessing whether all the information is available to create what the customer is requiring
Use relevant tools to extract the required information to draw the part.
Creates vector drawings in the format required for laser cutting and sheet metal bending
Assist colleagues and customers with queries relating to part drawings
Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards
Recommends solutions to solve the issues that are found
Create detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software
Provides advice on what can be achieved by Laser and Bending
Run sample jobs-ensure first offs are correct before the job is cut
Control sample notes
Preparation of customer drawing before production

Salary: R20 – R23k dependent on experience
