EE Tax Associate

SUMMARY:
Our client, a long-established national legal firm is looking for an Associate to join their Tax team, to deal with all legal tax matters, from tax planning and structuring to domestic and offshore transactions as well as disputes.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Job Requirements:

• LLB Degree.
• LLM in Taxation.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in the Tax department of an auditing firm or law firm.
• Excellent understanding of Tax Law.
• Tax technical and advisory experience.

• Provide clear legal advice on complex tax matters.
• Act as counsel on tax issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Contact and liaise with internal and external clients and SARS.
• Research and analyse relevant regulatory requirements and translate into business solutions.
• Draft tax opinions and relevant documentation.
• Build and maintain business relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
