ELECTRICAL MANAGER (MANUFACTURING) - Cape Town

SUMMARY:
We are recruiting for an experienced and qualified Electrical Manager with at least 7 to 8 years relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

We are recruiting for an experienced and qualified Electrical Manager with at least 7 to 8 years relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Must have management / supervisor experience. This role will report to the Divisional Director.

REQUIREMENTS:

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (NQF 6) or higher would be advantages
• 8+ years of relevant working plant experience
• Able to work in a pressurized and demanding environment
• Must have your own reliable transport
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Good communication skills
• Management / Supervisor experience (Strong leadership and Coaching skills)
• Ability to perform within a team
• Good problem-solving capabilities

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Build, install and commission new electrical systems
• Review electrical installations for compliance
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on MV and LV Systems
• Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, temperature, pressure, flow etc.
• Knowledge of VSD’s, PLC’s and industrial networks will be advantageous.
• Maintaining service records of electrical equipment
• Liaising with other departmental staff, supervisors and managers
• Using C-Works to plan, track and record tasks
• Ensuring that all work will comply with regulations in the OHSA and the company policies and procedures
• Manage Electrical Department SHEQ compliance
• Supervise and mentor electricians
• Compile comprehensive RCA Reports
• Compile, read and use electrical diagrams
• Improve plant safety standards
• Ensure the effective use of resources
• Scheduling and planning of maintenance activities
• Shutdown planning and managing execution of shutdown plan
