ELECTRICIAN – AGRICULTURAL / FARM OPERATIONS

SUMMARY:
Nelspruit area, Mpumalanga province – South Africa: Responsible for the maintenance, repair and installation of electrical systems and equipment across the Company’s farming operations, ensuring safe and reliable operation with minimal downtime.

POSITION INFO:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Qualified Electrician with recognised Trade Test \/ Red Seal. Relevant electrical maintenance experience. Experience with three-phase and single-phase systems and fault-finding. Agricultural or industrial electrical experience will be advantageous. Valid driver's licence. Willing to work overtime and attend breakdowns\/call-outs when required. A minimum of five years' experience is required for this position. KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Able to work independently. Practical and safety conscious. Reliable and responsible. Able to work under pressure. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO Perform electrical maintenance, repairs and fault-finding. Attend to electrical breakdowns and emergency call-outs. Maintain electrical motors, pumps, control panels and distribution boards. Maintain electrical systems related to boreholes and irrigation equipment. Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance. Carry out electrical installations and upgrades when required. Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable safety requirements. Maintain electrical tools, equipment and basic maintenance records. Perform other reasonable duties related to the position.
