ESTIMATOR / EAST LONDON – Our Client in the Automotive Bodywork's is looking to fill the role of an Estimator to accurately assess vehicle damage and provide detailed repair cost estimates for customers and insurers.
Minimum Requirements:
• Previous experience as an Estimator or Workshop Foreman in an auto-body repair environment (minimum 2 years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of vehicle body repairs, parts, and refinishing processes.
• Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software (e.g., Audatex, Mitchell, CCC One).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license
Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect damaged vehicles and assess the extent and cost of repairs required.
• Prepare detailed, itemized estimates using estimating software (e.g., Audatex, Mitchell).
• Liaise with insurance companies for approvals and ensure compliance with their processes.
• Communicate effectively with customers, explaining estimates, repair timelines, and process.
• Coordinate with workshop technicians to confirm labour and parts requirements.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner.
• Update customers and insurers throughout the repair process.
• Monitor repair progress and adjust estimates when necessary.
• Assist with final quality control inspections before vehicle delivery.
Salary – market related
